I've been renting cars from Zanzibar Rent-a-Ride for many years. Their service is excellent and super friendly, they also supply lots of information about driving rules and even suggestions of tours etc. Their cars are in very good condition and in case something should go wrong, they have a free breakdown service, which means that they deliver an exchange car wherever one is on the island. Their prices are competitive too. They get 10 out of 10.

We rented a car in Zanzibar for a whole week and the car was totally fine. Once we had a tiny issue, but we were helped right away by the team. We had to get used a little bit to driving on the left side, but with automatic gear it was fine. The streets are not what we know in Europe, but since you drive slow, also this is no problem. We heard a lot of stories about the police over there, but also that was easy. Twice they quickly checked the license and that was it. We were very happy we had the car, which made us totally flexible while exploring the island. It was a perfect holiday. Thank you to the Rent-a-Ride team.

Hired a car for ten days. Got a 5 door Rav, It worked perfectly and handled the off-road dirt roads we needed to travel on at times with ease. Spacious, comfortable, and were at the airport at the agreed time to collect afterwards. No complaints. 100% professionals.
